Creating and Maintaining Positive Classroom

Building positive emotion is key to creating a classroom of students who are primed to learn. Science says that being in a positive emotional state increases ability to see opportunity and take in information. When we are connected and supported by our peers we are in an optimal state to take risks, take in new information, and be creative. This engaging and interactive session will focus on creating a learning environment that is most conducive to learning. You will learn specific activities on the topics of gratitude, strengths, connection, and more. You will leave with an actionable plan to incorporate into your classroom this fall.

How to Maintain That Summer Feelin’

Hopefully by now you're feeling that relaxation that summer brings. Learn how to show up as your summer self throughout the year. Developing a mindfulness practice is as important as brushing your teeth, and is necessary to maintain your physical and mental health. In this hands-on session you will engage in different mindfulness practices and leave with specific activities to keep you showing up as your best self. Start off the school year with daily practices that support you in your goals and health.

Do You Say Yes When YOU Mean to Say No?

As educators we are often givers and caretakers and find it hard to say no to someone in need. By improving our self awareness and listening to our needs and managing our energy level we become better at protecting our own energy. In this interactive session you will work on your self-awareness skills, learn how to recognize the early signs of burn-out , and how to manage thoughts and actions to prevent exhaustion. We will learn about mindset and discover what your predominant mindset is. Discover what you need to keep your energy levels consistent and leave with effective tools to create powerful change in your life.

Take Action On Your Happiness; Start With Your Thoughts

Our thoughts create our reality. They are the fuel to our success and often the culprit of our failure. They determine what kind of day we will have and affect our ability to listen and to learn. Participants will learn to recognize thoughts for what they are, become more aware of their thoughts on a daily basis, examine their thoughts for validity, and learn how to reframe thoughts and change outcomes based on this reframing. Leave with a new understanding of the power your thoughts have on your life.

Positive Leadership is a program designed to foster a transformation in school communities.  During this full day (six hour) workshop educators will build resilience, develop a practice and a culture of gratitude, recognize strengths in one’s self and in others, and shift to a more positive and growth mindset.  Learning these tools results in an increase in positivity, collaboration, compassion, and productivity in a school. Our programs are based on the science of optimal human functioning, positive psychology.  Although using the tools of positive psychology often results in greater happiness, “being happy” isn’t our focus. Our focus is on optimizing individuals from this inside out.

Positive Relationships

Positive Relationships is a program designed to foster a sense of belonging and community in schools. Science tells us that intentionally building positive relationships and connection in the classroom will create an atmosphere of safety and an optimal environment for learning. Students who feel a sense of belonging and connection in the classroom perform better academically, are more attentive to their teacher and are more connected to their peers. Our three hour workshop will get you ready to make changes in your classroom and school that will build lasting trust and positive results. *Creating a Culture of Connection and Belonging and learn how to: *Create a sense of belonging and community in your classroom. *Strengthen connections with your students *Become others centered to boost your own happiness *Help your students deepen connections with each other. *Increase student engagement, motivation and learning. *Reach beyond your classroom and be a Social Emotional Leader in your school community
